The frost and fog lifted just in time for good racing conditions which led to plenty of attacking on the undulating 49-kilometre course.
B-grade hard man Pat Coe took off into the wind with 15km to go and held off the chasing group of 12 until 2km from the line.
Michael Wilson counter-attacked but was caught metres from the finish as Matt Hibbs took the win from Ricky Allen and Simon Ward. Phil Stevenson continued his good form to win C grade from Mark Tate and Lyndsay Malley.
James Proverbs won D grade from Dean Mason and Brendan Spurr while Coen de Gier had another win in E grade.
Next week’s race is at Evandale where duty riders are Andrew Flanagan, Dallas Headlam and Nick Lawrence.
