Having raised the funds through a variety of events throughout the year, including the annual Easter quilt raffle and exhibition, the group presented a $3000 cheque to the Royal Flying Doctor Service and a pair of $500 cheques to the St Mary’s Lymphoedema Clinic and the St Helens Community Car.
The group also presented more than 100 breast care cushions to the Cancer Council Tasmania's Richard Austin, which will provide support and comfort to men and women dealing with breast cancer.
The Break O’Day Stitchers meet weekly at the St Helens Neighbourhood House.
