Deloraine's junior and senior clubs and the Northern Tasmania Amateur Basketball Association contributed more than 40 per cent to the project’s $110,000 price tag.
Cr Kelly thanked the basketballing community for its passion in pursuing the project and hoped the continued improvement of the complex would eventually see the Launceston Tornadoes train at the venue.
"The quality of the rings is as a good as anywhere else in Tasmania, so the potential for what this facility can be used for going forward is outstanding," Cr Kelly said.
