Tasmanian journalist Georgia Love is the new Bachelorette

A Tasmanian-based journalist has been confirmed at the new Bachelorette Australia.

Georgia Love, 29, has been named as the star of the Channel 10 show, on Monday via New Idea magazine.

A presenter for WIN News, Love has been most recently based in Hobart but has reported for about two years out of Launceston.

She is originally from Melbourne, and has previously worked as a dance teacher and trapeze artist.

The show will see Love look for love with 18 bachelors. 

An air date for the series has not yet been made public.

Last year’s Bachelor was Sam Wood, who is also from Tasmania.
