The Exeter Ladies Golf Club hosted a group of 45 golfers in a Pinehurst competition last month, attracting competitors from as far south as Longford and as far north as Bridport.
Club ladies president Roslyn Burr said participants had a terrific day on the course and helped to raise more than $800 for the cause.
“We do a Benevolent Day every second year and it's essentially to raise funds for a charity, and for the last few we've raised money for the West Tamar Community Car,” Mrs Burr said.
“We like to go for a very local charity if we possibly can.”
