The Australian Electoral Commission on Wednesday released an age-group breakdown of voters across the country.
In Tasmania, those aged 70 and over represent the largest portion of voters, with 31,319 septuagenarians-plus registered out of a possible approximate 51,100.
This was the most dominant age group across the country.
At the other end of the scale are the 18-year-olds (we’ve got 4477 newly legal Tasmanians enrolled), and the median age group (40 to 44) has 29,393 voters.
