Launceston Kart Club member Tate Frost has continued his run of good form by winning the KA4 junior light class at the Kingston Cup meeting at the Oakleigh Kart Club in Melbourne.

The year 8 student at St Patrick’s college student has been racing this year in the Australian Kart Championship series and at the Oakleigh club with help from the James Sera Kart centre.
After claiming the 2015 Tasmanian junior clubman state title, Frost has had front row starts at the last two rounds and last weekend was able to win against a field of Victoria’s best junior drivers. He sits eighth in the series and will be compete in round 4, in Ipswich, Queensland, in July.
Another LKC member, Mitchell Kerrison, is competing in the Rotax Pro Tour, in the junior max class.
He has had a number of top ten finishes in the premier junior class with 40 drivers on the grid and sits 20th on the points table.
LKC’s next meeting will be on Sunday, June 19, with Frost and Kerrison competing in the McDonald’s Young Guns.
