Storage levels at Great Lake have increased 14.7 per cent to 15.7 per cent.
At Lake Gordon they have improved from 10.8 per cent to 11.6 per cent.
Mr Groom said while these levels were welcome, it may take time for the two storages to recover.
He said the significant rainfall in May meant storages were seeing a recovery.
“Hydro Tasmania continues to manage inflows prudently.
“Over the past week, hydro generation has been augmented by gas generation from Tamar Valley Power Station to manage peak demand, and to allow the major storages to continue to rebuild. No diesel generation was required,” Mr Groom said.
