Cityprom has organised events to run from June 3-12 in an effort to encourage people to get out and about during the colder months.
Cityprom executive officer Vanessa Cahoon said Winterlicious would include three major categories; a coffee crawl, bar hop and food and wine safari.
“There’s lots of things happening around the city, from comedy nights to a couple of laneway parties in Dicky White’s (Lane)…,” she said.
We’re just trying to give people a reason to come out and have a drink, enjoy themselves, and try something a bit different.
- Jeremy Kode
Geronimo owner Jeremy Kode has compiled a cocktail list to run throughout the festival with three new cocktails and three boilermakers focusing on Tasmania products and winter flavours.
“We’re just trying to give people a reason to come out and have a drink, enjoy themselves, and try something a bit different,” he said.
Geronimo also plans to make available a mulled cider made from locally grown pears.
Some events will be ticketed, while others are free.
More information, including the event program, is available from Cityprom’s website.
