More than 60 teams have so far signed up for the Launceston Junior Classic at Elphin Stadium to be held over the June long weekend.
The annual two-day event will start on Saturday, June 11 and finish on Sunday, June 12.
There are teams registered from Deloraine, Devonport, Launceston, Southern Wolves, Saints, Trojans, Japara, Ulverstone, Devils, Dominos, Dorset, Penguin and Smithton.
The state college basketball championships are being held in Devonport this weekend with 31 teams competing in 64 games.
In other news, Andree Greenwood has been awarded Basketball Tasmania life membership.
The mother of former NBL basketballer turned Adelaide footballer Hugh Greenwood was handed the accolade for her involvement at a high level as a player, coach, administrator, board member and committee member over many years.
