The Strikers have conceded just seven goals in nine games, and has been an integral reason behind winning eight of its nine appearances that has shot the North West club to top position this year.
“Devonport are another top side who have talent all over the park,” Sciulli said.
“To score goals against their defence and their goalkeeper, our guys will need to be really clever.
“The (Strikers) midfield and forwards score at will, so any lapses in concentration will be suicidal.”
Sciulli also hinted City has a game plan to put multiple goals to gain the valuable points at Mitsubishi Park.
“Back four and central midfield is an area that we have been working to get better every week, but we have also focused on the front four,” he said.
City expects Isaac Degetto (thigh) and Martyn Jackson (groin) to be available for Saturday.
Not gaining points from the home game against Devonport could be a setback for a top-four spot.
Olympia Warriors, who play struggling Kingborough Lions, sit two points ahead in fourth, so a win and a City loss would further the gulf between the clubs.
“I’m expecting a hard game where a team contribution is vital and any passengers may cost us the points,” Sciulli said.
Devonport assistant coach Nick Owen said his side was wary that City’s best form of defence could well be attack.
“They have had some mixed results at home this year, but we will be expecting some close attention from their defence and they may look to play a counter-attacking style,” Owen said.
He was complimentary of City’s dangerous talent.
“I really think Launceston City have a great crop of young players coming through and they seem to be improving as the season goes on,” Owen said.
