However, they will have to pass a Uni-Mowbray outfit looking to make amends for last week’s loss to Evandale.
Uni coach Nathan Lowe said Glenn Dawson and Jayden Medwin-Smith would play.
“We were pretty ordinary at Evandale, there was a lack of effort,” Lowe said.
“We’ve lost two games by about five goals so we’re not far off the mark – we can fix that.”
The Demons sit four points clear of the Eagles in outright second spot, having only lost to Old Scotch.
“It’s a double-point game for us, we can go eight points clear of Uni and almost sew up a top-three spot,” coach Thane Bardenhagen said.
“This is probably our most important match in a tough month.”
Bardenhagen and Tom Grimes will miss.
ST PATS coach Dayle O’Neill is searching for a win against Meander Valley with his side at 4-4 this season.
“We were able to stay with Lilydale for three quarters… our midfield started to work together but some defensive pressure is also needed,” he said.
“Meander will be confident after a win, we will just need to put some goalscoring pressure on them.”
Sam Lee and Bradley Pearton are a chance to return.
TAMAR CATS host Old Scotch in a tough test with coach Joe Hammond hoping his players sharpen their skills.
The Cats are coming off an eight-point win over Old Launcestonians but Hammond admitted this week was a whole new ball game.
“We weren’t great but we will take the four points,” he said.
“We still have a long injury list and this week is a big ask – we will really find out where we are at.
“We will go into the match with no pressure.”
Thistles coach Kim Curtis was pleased with how his players responded to a persistent Prospect and that this weekend may be used to rest a couple of wounded troops heading into a tough month.
EVANDALE face a Prospect outfit at Morven Park that pushed the reigning premiers for three quarters.
Hawks coach Brett Laskey said his players are showing solid development but would be slightly undermanned against the Eagles with Kaleb Thomas, Lucas Crawford and several reserves players down with injury.
“We just need greater consistency and I just want them to continue to have a crack,” Laskey said.
Eagles coach Anthony Axton said Kade Gunton was under an injury cloud and that he would not be taking Prospect lightly.
PERTH have an opportunity to get back on the winners list in a contest with the winless Old Launcestonians.
Magpies coach Damian Rhind was unimpressed with his player’s undisciplined performance at Westbury and called on them to be ready for a Blues side circling for four points.
“We will get some experience back in Gavin Love, Josh Reynolds and Joshua Clark,” he said.
“We are waiting for a week where everything goes according to plan… some weeks it feels like we have taken three steps back and one step forward.
“I’m sure Old Launcestonians will be pulling out every stop to try and beat us.”
Perth sit in ninth position, one spot above the Blues.
