Thirteen trout waters which remain open all year include Lake King William, and hardy highland anglers have noted that its level has risen steadily to the height it was early last January.
Brushy Lagoon also remains open, but completing bridge repairs and opening its only access road are some weeks away. Neighbouring Four Springs Lake is one of the waters closed to anglers.

In North Eastern brine, flathead and gummy sharks were boated off Weymouth while bream remain plentiful down East around oyster racks like those in Georges Bay and at Little Swanport.
Blackback salmon action on beaches near Scamander has continued when floating weed allows. Broadbill swordfish are still about too, with one of over 80kg reported.
Southwards, bluefin tuna action is picking up at Eaglehawk Neck, where many juvenile schoolies around 20kg are being joined by occasional 140kg whoppers.
