Starring one of Australia’s most respected tribute performers Daniel Thompson from the The Johnny Cash Show, the brand new tour will hit stages across Tasmania in June.
Music by infamous country artists like Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton will be showcased throughout the concert.
Performing to more than 30,000 fans over six years, Thompson said he was excited to bring a brilliant new concept experience to Launceston, Burnie, Devonport and Hobart.
“One of the things about being a singer is singing great songs for people that come to your shows,” Thompson said.
The Greats of 70’s Country Music will highlight two hours of the biggest hits from some of the best-known names in country music.
Thompson said he is looking forward to bringing his husky voice to Tasmania for the fourth time.
“When your voice sounds like mine people always ask you to sing Cash songs,” Thompson said.
The show will take to the stage at Launceston Country Club on Friday, June 10.
Tickets are available from www.tixtas.com.au or 1300 795 257.
