After a successful morning tea in 2015 raised $4000 for the Cancer Council, a crowd of 125 packed out the GLGE community centre to raise a further $4800 for the charity.
Event co-ordinator Lorraine Murray said the healthy turnout was the combined result of GLGE support, a letterboxing campaign and a strong contingent of Riverside Probus Club members.
“It's a massive team effort, it's no one person,” Ms Murray said.
“Everybody donates cash, time, produce, items for the trade table - it's very elaborate.”
Ms Murray said the group would continue to fundraise for Cancer Council throughout the year with pancake days and home-made cards.
