The Tasmanian Electoral Commission announced Ms Rattray had been returned to the seat on Sunday night with 12,269 votes, ahead of Darren Clark on 5965 votes.
About 900 votes are still to be counted but will not affect the final result.
Ms Rattray said it was extremely heartening to receive more than 75 per cent of the vote in the North-Eastern towns of Scottsdale, Winnaleah, Ringarooma and Bridport.
“I'm absolutely thrilled,” Ms Rattray said.
“I've said all along you need to be resonating in the area that you live and that you come from, and hence Darren Clark got a very good vote in Triabunna - that's what you'd hope, that you would be able to rely on people that have known you for a long time.
“So I am really heartened by the support that I received; not only in the areas that I live and from my local government background but from right around the electorate.”
There was little time for celebration on Monday however, as the three-time seat holder set to work on catching up following a busy pre-election period.
“We couldn't respond to some requests because we weren't sure what this day would bring, so we're just getting across everything that’s been sitting on my desk waiting for a response,” Ms Rattray said.
“I'm very humbled and I’ve had lots of nice phone calls this morning from people and it's been fantastic.”
Ms Rattray said she would continue to work hard at attaining as much information and feedback as possible to knowledgeably scrutinise legislation.
“There's some items on the agenda that continue to need funding and obviously the lay-bys for safe pull-off areas for slow-moving vehicles between Launceston and Orford is on my number 1 agenda.
“Also to continue to advocate for individuals is a really important role because often when people get to my door they're fairly frustrated - they've been around a couple of people and they've hit a brick wall and I've been able to build up some fantastic networks over the years.”
