The council regulations officers were called out to Youngtown on reports of a runaway pig.
After recently wrangling snakes, peacocks, and seals, regulation officer Oliver Breezed was tasked with taming the trotter.
“This young sow took some catching and sure enjoyed the muddy conditions," Mr Breeze said via a post on the council’s Facebook page.
“After doing some cultivation work in a neighbouring backyard and knocking over a few pot plants, the hefty little porker was wrestled to the ground and taken to the RSPCA from where it will happily be relocated to a farm outside our municipality."
