Second was Paul Hefford who managed a personal best in not so perfect conditions with Mick Halaby third.
The division 2, 3km sealed handicap saw Kelly Gowans and Chloe Deans produce personal bests to finish first and second with Sam Talbot third.
The division 3, 1.5km sealed handicap at Clarendon saw top three finishers Isabella Death-Morcom, Tanya Kirk and Caitlin all produce personal best times.
Fastest were Sam Clifford and Vicki Ross (long course), Ben McShane and Madi Brazendale (middle) and Will Bottle and Connie Dean (short).
Next week’s race is at Westbury at 1pm.
Launceston RC
A fast improving Fiona Webb secured a comfortable win in Launceston Running Club’s Rob Rik Dale 8km Evandale handicap.
Second and third of the 47-strong field were the consistent Lynnda Coffey and Justin Cooper.
Fastest were Austin O’Byrne in 30:47 and Carolyn Farrar (37:46).
The division two 2.5km was won by Charlotte Rogers improving from her second placing last week, from Eliza Anderson and Lucas Galvin-Ridge. Fastest were Lucas Galvin-Ridge in 9:18 and Bianca Holloway (14:06).
The division three 1.5km was won by Alex Zegveld, from Luke McHugh and Ashleigh Dettmer with Luke McHugh (5:33) and Averyl Quinn (6:31) fastest.
Next week’s race is the scenic Sidmouth Gutbuster, a great preparation for the slightly longer Lilydale Lope.
Coaches courses
Athletics Australia have several coaching courses running in the state.
In Launceston at St Leonards athletic track a Level 2 intermediate club coaches course will be held on May 14t and 15 followed on July 31 with a Level 2 intermediate recreation running coaches course.
