Racing director Tony Murray said research was still being undertaken interstate in relation to arsenic levels and, in fairness to participants, it was considered reasonable to wait for the results.
“At this stage, it is anticipated the results will be available in the next two months,” Mr Murray said.
Leading thoroughbred trainer Scott Brunton has had two horses test positive to arsenic – Tiger Jack on July 12 and Vigilante on August 29 – while the Mark Ganderton-trained galloper Wanaea tested positive on July 7.
The other arsenic positive was returned by the Rod Burgess-trained pacer Riverlegirl on January 30.
