Now in its 22nd year, the awards is celebrated over six categories to reward courage, leadership and creativity of standout business women.
Sara Redman, of SRA of Corporate Change, has been a two-time finalist and called it a “fantastic experience”.
“As a finalist, they treat you like a winner,” she said.
Lucy Byrne, of Active Tasmania, networked with “a lot of amazing people” within the awards. “It’s also a good way to reflect on your achievements,” she added.
Emma Price, of Source Kids, said it allowed her to profile parents and carers of children with special needs.
“It’s a great way to recognise people who don’t necessarily operate in the corporate world,” she said.
Karen Burbury, of Cataract on Paterson, was a recipient of a start-up business award. “It brought the award home to our staff. I have young females working with me and I’m passionate about them believing in themselves.”
