The two-time reigning premiers were stunned at Parrot Park as Bridgenorth piled on eight final-term goals to win 13.14 (92) to 10.7 (67).
The Bulldogs held a 18-point buffer at three-quarter time, which was not enough as the Parrots had 10 individual goalkickers that helped them to glory.
Aaron Dusautoy, Darren Long and Lachlan Bonney where solid for Bridgenorth, while Luke McCarty, Bradley Etchell and Samuel Page worked hard for the Bulldogs.
BRACKNELL pinched a come from behind two-point win over arch-rivals Longford to remain ladder leaders in what was a seesawing affair at Tigerland.
The home side had all the early running, kicking the opening three majors before the Redlegs responded with four consecutive goals to lead at quarter time.
Longford led at half-time and by four goals with one term to play but they couldn’t hold back a resurgent Bracknell, who scored 5.4 to the Tigers’ three behinds – winning 13.17 (95) to 14.9 (93).
Josh Adams kicked five goals for the victors, while Jonathon Smart and Baden Alexander snagged six majors apiece in a brilliant display.
“The boys kept playing our game and I knew that if we kept at it we would get over the line – our leaders really stood up,” coach Gary Shipton said.
Redleg Callum Mulder was fantastic as was skipper Trent Page, Richard Howe and Joey Cullen.
SCOTTSDALE recorded a 20-point win over George Town at Blue Gum Park with 12 goalkickers.
It was a game of two halves with the Saints leading by seven points at the main break following a 6.6 to 1.3 first stanza.
But it was a six-goal final quarter that helped Scottsdale run out 15.12 (102) to 12.10 (82) winners.
George Town coach Allan O’Sign and captain Adam Zanevra kicked three goals each as Todd Crane and Matthew McKinnon fought hard.
For the Magpies it was Joshua Whelan, Daniel Viney and Jesse Holbein that impressed.
ROCHERLEA flexed its muscles against Hillwood as a Josh Holton 10-goal haul led the Tigers to a 25.13 (163) to 8.3 (51) victory.
The percentage-boosting, 112-point win was a masterclass from Holton and Ben Elmer (four goals), who had plenty of opportunities.
Tigers Jacob Hawkins, Jack Rushton and captain Brenton Gale were among the best performers.
Nathan Pearce and Joseph Crawford were the Sharks’ most efficient.
