“It’s good to be back home at Devonport Oval where we play some reasonable footy and it is a pretty important game given we are fifth on the ladder and they are sixth and they have had some good wins early in the year,” he said.
“There is no doubt they will be up for the challenge and so we will.”
Thorp said a poor start and first quarter cost them dearly against Clarence which proved the difference in the end.
“We will aim to start the game well and hopefully that makes for a better day
“We’ve been in reasonable touch before last week and the travel to Hobart has been a challenege for the club over a number of years.
“We’re still in the five which is positive and this is an important game to hopefully go a game clear in there this week.”
