Having mastered the ability to roll since The Examiner last caught up with Kelly and Taylor, the girls are now up on their hands and knees.
Kelly is also the proud owner of two teeth.
And mum Chantal Eilander could not be prouder of them.
As the countdown to their first birthday begins, the twins still have that same bond Mrs Eilander hopes will last forever.
She said although it was busy looking after the pair, her husband Dennis and three other children, Zack, 6, Amy, 5, and Alexis, 3, were always there to lend a helping hand.
“The girls are definitely getting more curious about their surroundings now,” Mrs Eilander said.
“They’ve been rocking on their hands and knees a lot and they commando crawl and push themselves along to get where they want to be.
“Kelly’s a bit better at sitting, I think it’s because Taylor’s bigger.”
After a hectic school holidays, Mrs Eilander said that although it was nice to see all five children together, life was just a bit quieter now.
“Taylor’s usually really loud, she screams at almost an adult volume,” she said.
“Kelly’s still the leader I think, she does everything first.
“It’s really cute when they sit side-by-side in the pram, they often stick their feet out so they can touch each other.”
After a rough start to life, being born at just 32-weeks, the girls are now happy, healthy and are the perfect fit to the family.
“They’re eating a lot more now and they’re really healthy so we can’t complain,” Mrs Eilander said.
“They’ve got a little bit of hair but it’s really blonde so you can’t see it really, but I think it will stay that colour.
“I could watch them all day but I don’t get anything done then.”
The Examiner has followed the family’s pregnancy journey in the lead-up to the birth of the twins and will continue to regularly check in with the family over the next year as the girls begin to change and grow. We hope to visit them again next month.
