Named after his wife, Tao’s Carpet Cleaning offers a professional and personal cleaning service.
The couple will personally clean the carpets and their experience and knowledge of the industry will ensure a perfect clean every time.
Reviews from their many happy and loyal customers around Launceston show the carpets will be left clean and sparkling after a visit from Tao’s Carpet Cleaning.
Offering a free on-site quote, Mr McCullagh is able to evaluate the carpet and explain to the homeowner how it will respond to cleaning.
The environmentally friendly cleaning service does not use steam and leaves carpets only slightly damp.
By using a spray, the carpet does not become too wet, which allows it to dry much quicker than other methods.
Mr McCullagh said most carpets were made from wool, synthetic nylon or a mix of the two and came with protection from stains.
Massaging the spray into the carpet fibres causes marks and stains begin to break down.
A cleaning machine is then put over the carpet, relieving the marks and stains and removing them from the carpet.
‘‘The underlay and hessian backing on your carpet stays 100 per cent dry,’’ Mr McCullagh said.
‘‘If your underlay gets wet, that gets wet with dirty water, not clean water, because of the high pressure.
‘‘The dirty water can get back up into the carpet later causing it to become dull.
‘‘Within about three to four steam cleans you’ve actually lost all your protection in the carpet and it cannot be put back the same as factory protection.’’
He said that when he cleaned, the protection stayed in the carpet and it did not come out so there was no damage caused to the carpet. You can have your carpet for years and years longer by dry cleaning instead of steam cleaning.
‘‘We take the time on the carpet to do a proper job – it’s not a matter of going in and then my time’s up so I finish up quickly and I’m gone, we stay there until the best possible job’s done on that carpet.’’
The dry cleaning process removes most cat and dog hair, lint and fluff and only takes 20 minutes to dry on a warm day.
Aside from the highest quality carpet cleaning, Tao’s Carpet Cleaning will leave any house in immaculate condition.
‘‘We go around and wipe the skirting boards, the legs of the chair and tables where we work, and if you have a tiled entranceway we clean that on the way out too,’’ Mr McCullagh said.
