A post on the Internode Facebook page this morning informed customers Telstra would provide extra bandwidth from Thursday.
The post read:
"Important update for Internode customers in Tasmania.
"Telstra have committed to delivering extra bandwidth to iiNet and Internode by Thursday this week.
"We will keep customers updated on the progress of delivery and let you know if there are any unforeseen delays."
Several customers were less than pleased with the news, venting their frustrations on Facebook:
Facebook user Karina Latham said "THURSDAY????? so what about in the meantime are we to pay for limited services at the premium price we pay now?......I feel the horse has bolted for you lot."
Facebook user Edward Arrowsmith said "This morning I review my bill from Internode (cheeky).
"Its the same as usual but the agreed service which I am happy to pay for is not being delivered. At work, if I do not deliver agreed service I am out of a job."
