Tasmania Police said on Thursday that a number of schools were threatened with fake bomb attacks earlier in the day.
``Calls were made to five schools just after 11am, all within half an hour. The schools implemented their usual response plans and informed parents,'' the force said in a statement.
``Police attended the schools and conducted enquiries. No concerns were identified and classes resumed. Investigations will continue into the source of the calls. It appears the calls were similar to the hoax calls made on 2 February 2016.''
