Shane Eiszele, of New Norfolk, will tell you the iconic food and wine event is the perfect place to celebrate.
Mr Eiszele was at Festivale on Saturday with a large group of friends celebrating his 50th birthday.
The group was easy to spot with their personalised ‘‘Celebrating Shane’s 50th’’ white tops, that included a photo of Mr Eiszele, donned with a mullet haircut.
Mr Eiszele said the event was brilliant and he was enjoying some cloudy apple cider to start his day.
Little Connor Scott, nine months, enjoyed his first Festivale on the other side of the park with his parents, granddad and friends.
Mum Reagan Parker said Connor had tasted a lot of the food by 1pm, including lamb, paella and squid.
She said Connor was excited for ice-cream and fruit, as he loved both those sweets.
Leaning Church Vineyard co-owner Sarah Hirst said she was overwhelmed by the number of tourists visiting for the event.
She said many visitors went around the park on the Friday night comparing and scoring wines.
‘‘Last night [Friday] was lovely, there was a crazy flow of people,’’ she said.
Performers kept patrons entertained throughout the day, while singer Wendy Matthews finished the night on the main stage.
The ARIA award-winning artist showed off her diversity, performing everything from jazz to pop, to the delight of an adoring crowd.
