Rangers proved a thorn in the side of the eventual state champions last season and their strong rivalry was sparked by a penalty shootout which decided their Summer Cup semi-final.
Another packed program of fixtures at KGV kicks off with two games all-state league clashes on Friday followed by five on Saturday, with the Warriors-Rangers match-up in the middle. Kingborough Lions, who claimed two points in Round 1 after a penalty shootout win over Rangers, meet Clarence United who went down 4-0 to powerhouse Hobart Zebras.
The second match serves up two of the state's best in South Hobart and Zebras to decide the semi-finalist from Group B after South triumphed over reigning champions Olympia.
Taroona and Southern kick off a huge Saturday of matches, including an intriguing battle of the Southern championship title hopefuls, University and Beachside.
