Fashion for Fillies event co-ordinator Sue Rees said that in addition to providing entertainment, the choreographed fashion show supported the Northern economy.
"It's great for tourism, it's great for the fashion houses, it's great for restaurants," Ms Rees said.
"We've got people coming in from Melbourne ... fashion plays such a big part - you think fashion, you think racing."
Ten female models and one male model will showcase millinery and outfits curated by local boutiques including Yeltuor and Timeless Elegance.
Every guest at Fashion for Fillies will enter the draw to win a night for two at Cradle Mountain and an accompanying meal voucher.
Tasmanian Turf Club chief executive Peter Scott said Fashion for Fillies was a staple event for the club.
"We're really excited about it, it creates a lot of interest and brings a lot of people through the gates."
