The cocktail event will showcase the best Tasmania has to offer in food, beverages and entertainment, with Matthew Garwood to perform during the evening.
With only 250 tickets available, RSPCA Tasmania chief executive Peter West urged those interested in attending to get in quick.
‘‘We do really well in the second half of the year, but in the first half of the year we need to come up with a few events that will raise us some money,’’ he said. ‘‘It costs us over $3million a year to run the RSPCA in Tasmania and that’s on a really tight budget, so we rely heavily on various forms of income streams.’’
JAC Group managing director Dean Cocker said those attending the event would receive an exclusive experience of the redeveloped Penny Royal complex.
‘‘We have extensive boardwalks and decks off the venue, so if it is a nice night people will be able to move out onto the boardwalk and be on the side of the lagoon, which will be quite picturesque,’’ he said. ‘‘For those who like a stickybeak and to be telling everyone else what’s there before everyone else knows, this is an opportunity to support a worthy charity and also to get an early look at the Penny Royal.’’
