A Ganmain man will face court on Tuesday after being charged with historical sexual assaults of two five-year-old girls.
The 52-year-old has been charged with a string of offences following an investigation into the alleged historical assaults, which were conducted on two girls aged five at different times during the 1980s.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 1982 and 1983, and 1987 and 1988.
The man was arrested at a Ganmain home on Monday and taken to Wagga police station following the “complex investigation” by Wagga Local Area Command detectives.
He now faces five counts of sexual assault category three, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, and one each of sexual assault category four – indecent assault, carnal knowledge of a child under 10 and sexual intercourse without consent.
