The Bureau of Meteorology is reporting snow as low as 500 metres on Thursday in the Western and Central Plateau forecast districts.
On Thursday morning, the Great Lake Hotel shared photos and images of snow falling and snow-covered grounds.
The bureau has issued a bush walkers weather alert for the area.
