A fresh line-up announcement, featuring a stack of Tasmanian and Australian acts, has been added to celebrate the festival picking up the Best Festival and Event award at the recent Tasmanian Tourism Awards.
Topping the bill is singer-songwriter Josh Pyke, who will be keen to see audiences sing along with tunes from his back catalogue.
The blues-infused rebirth of Ash Grunwald's career will see him coming out and rocking the punters as he delivers rock 'n' roll with his signature soulful voice.
Back after a long period out of the limelight are the disco-pop, synth-loving Bag Raiders.
It's hard to believe that their smash single Shooting Star was five years ago, but their recently released Waterfalls EP has certainly put them back on the map, and their live set is not to be missed.
Hobart's Tiger Choir add a local flavour to the announcement.
The Tasmanians have been doing our island state proud, with Triple J picking up the catchy single Shani, and the band will be sure to bring a good slice of its local fan base to the festival.
The line-up is rounded out by the salsa-loving Chicada, plus Jesse Davidson, and Ben Walsh.
In addition to the main acts, Music Tasmania has partnered with the Falls Festival to reveal the Homebrew Stage, a place where Tasmanian acts ranging from bands to producers to solo singer songwriters can show off their tunes to a festival of 12,000 music lovers.
