The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association in conjunction with Tasmanian Irrigation want ground-level feedback to identify future irrigation opportunities or synergy opportunities within inplace infrastructure.
The Future Irrigation Project is state government funded under its statewide 2050 AgriVision Plan to grow the agricultural sector.
Tasmanian Irrigation technical and engineering manager Nik Byrne said people can complete the online survey by visiting the state-owned company's website.
"We will look at the interconnectivity and enhancement of existing schemes, and looking at potential further schemes," Mr Byrne said.
"We know that no one knows the regions and water better than local farmers ... so their assistance is invaluable."
Mr Byrne said the collated data will be compiled in a report to be handed to the Hodgman Government for deliberation next year.
Submissions close on Thursday, December 3. For more information and to download the survey form, visit www.tasmanianirrigation.com.au.
