Whether you opt for a home-made fascinator or just stitch a Fred Basset strip into your beanie, hilarious headgear will be warmly welcomed at this year's event, with a prize on offer for the winner of the Funny Hat Parade.
Beauty Point auxiliary of the Beaconsfield District Health Service treasurer Margaret Hodge said while she had been playing around with the idea of getting creative with a saucepan, her hat was very much still in the conceptual stage.
"I have been working on it, but I haven't come up with anything really good yet, I don't think," she said.
Roses from as far away as Launceston will be on show at the 35th anniversary event, with about 80 people expected to converge on the Uniting Church hall for Tamar Valley's finest flowers.
Mrs Hodge said afternoon tea and a lucky door prize entry was included in the $10 entry fee, which goes towards raising funds for the health service.
"It's a great meeting place every year for the people to get together and have a cup of tea and meet one another," she said.
"People look forward to the rose show every year and they bring their blooms every year, and they meet up with friends and it's just a really good, fun day."
