Child hit by motorcycle at Smithton
A child has been taken to hospital after being hit by a motorbike at Smithton.

Police report that the five-year-old boy was crossing King Street when he was hit by a motorcycle about 3pm on Friday.
He was taken to the Smithton hospital with suspected head injuries, and will be transferred to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Investigations into the crash are continuing, but speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
The motorcycle rider was not injured in the incident.
