Presbyterian Care announced the transfer on Monday following about several months of negotiation.
The organisation's chief executive John Brooks said the mutual transfer agreement meant protection was provided for residents, staff and service providers through the transition process.
“It has been a difficult period for all concerned but we are delighted there has been a positive outcome," Mr Brooks said.
“An application has now been made to the Commonwealth which includes provisions for the transfer and safeguarding of residents accommodation bonds to be transferred to the new provider.
“I congratulate all parties involved for coming together on this issue and wish May Shaw Health and the Dorset Council all the best for the future operations of Aminya."
