The multiple World Cup, Champions Trophy and Commonwealth Games winner was awarded the player of the tournament award at the Australian Hockey League in Darwin.
Adding to the awards he received in 2011, 2013 and 2014, it made the Hobart 28-year-old the first player to receive the accolade four times.
The acknowledgement came as some consolation for the Tigers captain, after his side was unable to defend the title they won in dramatic fashion last year.
Glenn Freeman's men beat Victoria on Friday to claim the bronze medal and also picked up the "play the whistle" fair-play award.
Two-goal hero Cale Cramer was named player of the final as his Queensland side defeated Western Australia, Canberra Lakers' Andrew Charter was goalkeeper of the tournament and Ockenden's Kookaburras teammate Blake Govers finished leading scorer with his 10 goals for NSW.
Ockenden also shared the title of Kookaburras best player when the national team won a second consecutive World Cup in the Netherlands last year.
The reigning Tasmanian athlete of the year remains on course to catch long-time international teammate Jamie Dwyer as the all-time leading appearance-maker for Australia with 252 caps to his name.
