With a host of new activities on offer for this year’s event, Mr Crawford appears determined to get the entertainer involved in just about every one of them.
‘‘We’ve got segways this year and we’ll have Austin Powers on one of them,’’ he said.
‘‘He comes from Melbourne so we’ve got to keep him busy while he’s here.’’
Mr Crawford has also scheduled in the entertainer to assist in a competition where participants guess the weight of a Clydesdale.
‘‘We might have Austin Powers get up on it – if he doesn’t I will.’’
For the first time in nearly 20 year car dealerships will operate from the showgrounds, giving punters the opportunity to enter on foot and exit with new wheels. There will also be a focus on local talent, with a host of music acts taking the stage over the three-day event including an appearance from Dunorlan farmer Regan Tucker.
Mr Crawford said a popular attraction would remain open on Friday night due to high demand.
‘‘The animal nursery and sheep will still be open til 8 o’clock, so that’s a plus that we’ve never had before.’’
