The 28-year-old led from the front and gave the Thistles' onballers the best use of the ball all day long and was accordingly presented with the best on ground honours.
"It (the medal) means a lot to me but the win is obviously what it was all about," the David O'Keefe Memorial Medallist said post-match.
"It is pretty amazing and the feat probably won't hit me until further on down the track.
"Our attack on the ball, voice and pressure never stopped all day, which did it for us I think."
McFadzean has played with Old Scotch since 2009.
