"Going down there is always a challenge, but it doesn't matter to us about it being their home ground.

"We're happy to play them wherever they want, whenever they want and we're always up for a challenge," he said.

The 28-year-old has played about 130 senior games for the Northern Bombers since joining the club as a 17-year old in 2004.

He spent three seasons under Rod Keogh, playing in the NTFL before heading back to his home town of Bridport and spending a few seasons playing there and at Scottsdale.

Roozendaal returned to North in 2012 for a crack at State League football and hasn't looked back.

He had a dream end to the 2014 TSL season, winning the Alastair Lynch Medal as the competition's best and fairest player, the Darrel Baldock Medal for best on ground in the grand final and a premiership medal to round out the best year of his football career.

"I am pretty happy with my form this year too, and we've just been playing different roles and doing what we've been told to do," he said.

"I had a good pre-season and I'm still running hard and got the miles in the legs early.

"Having Alex Lee join us has been really good to help out in the ruck and allows me to have a bit more legs at the end of the game, and it has made the team stronger because we can structure up and do some different things in our game plan."

Roozendaal believes the Northern Bombers are peaking at the right time of the year again for finals and can be a dangerous force again this season.

"Finals time is important to everyone and they are the most important thing to win, so you should be up and ready to go if you have a chance to play and it's an exciting time," he said.

"I'm loving it and it's been great coming back and playing State League.

"I am happy where I am and I'm going to commit to North Launceston next season. I think the club has a lot to look forward to in the years coming."
