The record stands at 1-1 in the roster season with the country Eagles winning by 12 points in round 4 at the NTCA Ground and the Thistles returning the favour with an 11-point win at Morven Park in round 12.
"The boys have been playing some pretty good football lately but finals are a different game and we're looking forward to taking them on at Youngtown," Old Scotch coach Kim Curtis said.
"We're a completely different side to earlier in the season so it will be interesting to see how we go.
"The boys are confident but we won't get ahead of ourselves and we will go out on Saturday and give it what we've got and we've got the double chance."
Curtis said the Thistles would have to get their running game going to win and be hard in their attack on the footy - an area they had been good in over the past few weeks - and not overuse the ball in a final.
"The team is pretty settled but we have a couple facing fitness tests tonight and I won't risk them if they're not right but we will have a quick skills session and see how they go and we should be pretty well loaded," he said.
"The Youngtown ground will suit our style and we've played well there in the past so it should be a good game."
EVANDALE coach James Conroy said they would have to bring their a-game to beat the reigning premiers and the most improved side since the start of the year.
"Their strength is really in their midfield and their depth there so we will have to put a lot of attention into that area and an under-rated backline and (Shaun) Muller down forward and George Walker who can kick a big score as well," Conroy said.
"I'm pretty sure our boys are looking forward to the contest and the wide open spaces at Youngtown.
"Our training has really picked up and our last game our form was back to where it should be."
The country Eagles have a full list, bar Benn McPherson who is out injured.
UNI-MOWBRAY take on Prospect in the elimination final at Perth on Sunday.
The Eagles have beaten the Hawks both times during the roster season and will have a full-strength side available for the first time this season.
Coach Nathan Lowe said their form leading into finals had been good apart from their final quarter of the Old Scotch game, which let them down.
"We've had a consistent last half of the year and we play pretty well at Perth and the ground should be good and will suit us," Lowe said.
"To win we have to do what we did last time which is play four consistent quarters of footy and we can't afford a lapse in finals.
"We've bonded really well this year as a team and want success and our talls are a key factor for us and we're pretty well covered all over the ground but it is a matter of whether we're switched on."
PROSPECT coach Danny Hall said they were keen to atone for a poor performance against Uni the last time they met, from which they had learnt a lot.
"We think we can turn that result around but they have a couple of forwards we will have to contain to make it possible and deprive them of their supply through the midfield," he said.
"The week off has freshened us up and give a few players a chance to get themselves right and everyone will be putting their hand up for selection."
Mason Keane should return with Murfett and Jamie Rayner facing fitness tests.
