For the past 12 months, the school has been collecting an impressive array of signed sporting goods to be auctioned off in their sports memorabilia auction.
Proceeds from this would go towards a new playground for the school's senior pupils to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
After so many months of preparation and much to the delight of teachers, pupils and parents, the auction raised $4500 for the school on Friday.
From cricket to football and motor sports, the auction featured signed memorabilia for several Australian sporting greats.
Perth Primary School committee vice-chairwoman Kristy Springer helped to organise the auction and said that the entire night was a successful one.
"We raised about $4500, we're very thrilled with that, all of it will go towards the playground so it's very, very exciting," Mrs Springer sad.
"We had around 70 people come out so it was well supported and everyone had a fun time bidding.
"Everything was sold on the night."
Mrs Springer said that she now hoped to have the playground built by the end of the year.
"We had such a huge range, even since the Monday before the event we had another six framed items that were all sold as well," she said.
"The biggest item of the night was a Casey Stoner framed photograph of him on his motorbike, that sold for $360."
