Jamie Garwood, 33, faced the Launceston Magistrates Court for sentencing on Friday.
He had previously pleaded guilty to 10 counts of drug-driving and will likely face an 11th charge when the blood test results arrive, as his lawyer conceded.
Garwood's most serious charge was negligent driving and having evaded police, among other charges, on June 5 this year.
Garwood drove at speeds of up to 150 km/h on the East Tamar Highway and police deployed road spikes on his Holden Commodore.
He drove through a random breath testing site at up to 120 km/h when police deployed the spikes.
Garwood's car swerved through a second RBT site with a deflated tyre and he was arrested at Rocherlea.
Magistrate Sharon Cure noted that Garwood drug-drove on at least one occasion with his young child as a passenger.
Ms Cure jailed Garwood for 10 months, backdated to May 10, with five months suspended for 18 months upon release.
Garwood also lost his licence for two years.
Negotiations between the defence and police prosecutions resulted in the dropping of the unlawful possession of $1790 cash charge and the particular that Garwood had swerved at a police officer when he drove negligently.
