Former Tasmanian Greens Leader Nick McKim will replace departing Senator Christine Milne, the party has confirmed.

Mr McKim won a ballot of Greens membership earlier this month, after Senator Milne announced her retirement from politics.
The Franklin MHA will now resign his seat in Parliament to take up the Senate position.
Mr McKim said he was honoured to take on the role.
"I really look forward to being a fierce advocate for Tasmanian interests," he said.
"I'm always one that looks for a challenge in life, and this as great a challenge as I have faced."
Fellow Tasmanian Greens Senator Peter Whish-Wilson said he and Mr McKim would make a "dynamic duo" in federal Parliament.
Mr McKim, 50, became Australia’s first Greens minister in 2010 he became Corrections Minister in a minority Labor government, and led the party between 2008 and 2014.
Dr Rosalie Woodruff, a Huon Valley councillor who was also in the ballot for the Senate position, is looming as the most likely replacement for Mr McKim in the House of Assembly.
Mr McKim will face the voters at the next federal election, which is due next year.
