The 24-year-old from Pickerington, Ohio, said she was happy with the way her four-week rehabilitation had gone after surgery and was good to go.
‘‘The last two weeks we’ve slowly worked our way back into things and on Monday I did the whole training and it went pretty well,’’ Harmon said.
‘‘I need to sharpen up my skills a little bit but the knee held up good.
‘‘Each time I get to jumping in training and doing my individual sessions, I come out feeling better about it each time so it is coming back.’’
Harmon said she was excited about her comeback and could not wait to get back on court with her Tornadoes teammates against the Spectres.
‘‘I haven’t discussed with Reece (Potter) how much time I will play on Saturday night, but once you get back into it, the skills sharpen up and come back to you,’’ she said.
‘‘I think my form can build over the last three games and the team can do what they have to do and everyone is pretty focused on the task at hand.’’
The Tornadoes have had successive losses to Dandenong (away) and Bendigo (home) before last week’s bye, and Harmon said she was confident the team could get back on the winner’s list against Nunawading in Melbourne.
‘‘No one wants to lose but there is a lot you can take from it so maybe it was a wake-up call right before finals and I think we will be ready to go.
‘‘I hope my coming back can help make the team stronger.
‘‘The team performed strongly when I wasn’t on court and they know what to do.
‘‘I hope I can just be a part of it and contribute back now.’’
