The Launceston leg of the Play School Once Upon A Time live concert at the Door of Hope centre saw an audience of children armed with their favourite Big Ted and Jemima toys as they sang along to their favourite nursery rhymes.
Presented by Play School favourites Teo Gebert and Rachael Coopes, the show brought both adults and children to their feet as they enjoyed a performance full of live music and stories.
Kory Broomhall, 7, and his family travelled from Deloraine to see the show and said that he was excited to see the Play School presenters.
‘‘I like all the teddy bears,’’ Kory said.
‘‘I just love it.’’
Gebert said that it was always exciting to perform in front of a live audience and to see the smiling and happy faces of hundreds of children looking back at him.
‘‘We always sing all the old nursery rhymes in the shows and we throw in all the toys,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s one of those acting jobs that you feel very privileged to do because a lot of the greats have done it.
‘‘I’ve done this about 66 times now so I’m feeling pretty relaxed, but I’m excited to do the show.’’
