The development includes 24 properties to be constructed in a gated community at 10 Jardine Crescent, and a further three properties to be built in Las Vegas Drive upon their completion.

The application was submitted by Vos Nominees, a subsidiary of Vos Family Office, which has extensively developed the Prospect Vale Marketplace site.

Twelve of the properties, units 1-6 and 22-27, in the wedge-shaped development will be constructed as two-storey dwellings.

The development will compliment Vos' hold in the area and fronts on to its marketplace development, based on Westbury Road.

The application was approved during the council's July meeting in Westbury on Tuesday.

Vos Family Office chief executive officer David Gray said he was pleased to announce the development, dubbed "AVILA".

"It has been a positive process working with planning officers at Meander Valley Council, who have provided appropriate feedback," Mr Gray said.

"(During that time) our design team, S Group, worked tirelessly to create a contemporary and engaging development which will suit a wide range of buyers."

Meander Valley Mayor Craig Perkins said the level of development was a demonstration of confidence in the region.

"Council recently completed its structure plan for the area, and this type of development shows confidence in the council's future direction in Prospect Vale," Cr Perkins said.

The development's first stage involves six townhouse constructions with a mix of single and double-storey premises, as well as the construction of a gate to the area.

The council's agenda item provided a recommendation that visitor parking spaces were line marked or delineated and identified for their use, and that turning bays were also clearly marked with "no parking" signs.

Once planning permits are issued, the development is expected to begin in spring.
