This year's A Day on the Green at Josef Chromy Wines at Relbia will be headlined by Australian music great John Farnham, with Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks also along for the ride.
His appearance will continue a theme for concert series in Tasmania of having classic Aussie acts as part of its line-up, following on from Hunters & Collectors and Jimmy Barnes last year.
Farnham, who is back in people's minds with ARIA No.1 collaboration with Olivia Newton-John Two Strong Hearts Live, is responsible for such hits as You're The Voice, Two Strong Hearts, Pressure Down, A Touch Of Paradise, Chain Reaction and That's Freedom.
"John is in touring mode, and he's doing a whole bunch of shows for us," promoter Michael Newton said.
"We've had him play at A Day on the Green shows before and they have gone over quite well.
"People know a whole lot of his songs and the show should be a hell of a lot of fun.
"With all of those iconic songs, it should be amazing.
"It's a beautiful venue down there at Josef Chromy and we always have a ball. The guys down there have spent some money developing the site and it works really well now.
"We had some improvements on the car park for the last show and that worked so we are really happy with it."
