The company's Australian general manager Chris Brooks made the announcement at its Rocherlea plant on Sunday.
After years of uncertainty and the closure of the business in July 2014, a downsized version of the plant was purchased by the US company, ACL Distribution Inc, in Michigan last September.
``Plant layout, improvements and equipment trials have been conducted in recent weeks as part of the production readiness process,'' Mr Brooks said.
``We expect to be in a position to commence volume production across all areas within next two to three weeks.''
Bass Liberal MHA Michael Ferguson welcomed the announcement, saying it was a boost to the Northern economy.
More to come.
